"One of the most defining and challenging experiences I have had to face in the foster care system is the feeling of not knowing what would happen once I aged out. And when I finally emancipated from the foster care system, I really needed that extra push which would have really helped me out in life. Overall I think the foster care system has taught me that there are people who care about me and want to see me make it in life."
