We ensure foster youth have equal footing when entering the professional world by matching them with a career coach and providing them with career readiness, financial literacy, and life skills necessary to help them become self-sufficient.
The Essentials
We help build confidence in foster youth without the resources or funds by hosting free pop-up shopping days to shop for professional and casual clothing, toiletries, beauty products, and accessories. By providing laptops and technological support, we help bridge the digital divide for foster youth to help them achieve their educational and career goals.

Sparks of Love
Whether it’s a birthday, a graduation or a holiday – we provide celebratory and milestone gifts for foster youth to remind them that they’re not alone during these monumental moments in their lives.

MEAL NATION
During COVID-19, we addressed food insecurity for foster youth in 57 colleges in California by providing them with free meals for 30 to 90 days that can either be picked up from a local restaurant, or delivered through our partner organizations like Everytable and Freshly.
#SpeakUp Series
WE DO IT ALL FOR THESE FACES OF FOSTER CARE
Foster Nation's #SpeakUp Series provides a safe and supportive space for current and former foster youth to shed light on their experiences in the foster care system. When former foster youth share their stories of strength and resilience, they give hope to those who are currently in the system, and remind us all that we’re not alone.

KATE SOMERVILLE - DEFY IMPOSSIBLE SCHOLARSHIP
Through our partnership with Kate Somerville, we provide foster youth the opportunity to receive $10,000 cosmetology scholarships.
GRANT THORNTON - PURPLE PALADIN
Foster Nation was chosen by Grant Thornton in 2021 to be a part of its Purple Paladin program. The program was launched to celebrate everyday heroes that take on real issues in the nonprofit space.
