Jordan A./ Keep your head up
Jordan speaks on his experience in the foster care system. He had different circumstances than a lot of the other people in the group home and because of that he was treated differently. He remember his sister came to visit him one day and one of the counselors told her to go home because her shorts were too short. She was never able to come back. That upset him on a whole other level, but he tried to a advocate that somehow she might be able to come back. He overcame it by praying everyday and having faith that one day he would get through this. Some of the most challenging moments he ever faced were in the group home.

He has learned to be strong and overcome some of the obstacles in his way. Being a good uncle, getting off the drugs and showing his family that they can be proud of him feels so good. He plan on making a difference by sharing his story with others and ending up as a success story.
One of Jordan most proud moments is making it through the group home, and graduating from high school makes him proud. He never dreamed of staying the remaining 2 years in the group home, but something told him that if he made it through great things were to come!
Jordan found comfort in reading books and being active. It got him out of his own reality at the time and, he was able to learn so much while he was in the group home. Take advantage of idle time and be open to learning new things that will help you in the future. Jordan loves to run and work out and also likes talking to his friends.
His advice for those experiencing foster care like himself is:
“Talk to yourself positively because you you were meant to succeed. Take care and I love you-!”
Just keep your head up, be kind because you never know what someone is going through that day, in that moment. Jordan see himself helping thousands of people with his story and similar people alongside him doing the same. His dream is to create an app, and execute an idea. He hope to become something and succeed, and for others to be baffled by my success. He has drive and just want so badly to put his life towards something positive. He wants to be a businessman and help others succeed. He is excited for his future.
