Toni C. / Don't give up NO MATTER WHAT

This was how I coped with my situation: I learned how to access counseling and a mentor club where someone who was also in foster care guided me. It made me believe in myself because the staff believed in me.

People do care, and there are good people out there. Every situation is different, but foster people do care and they can help.

I am in college, and I want to be a lawyer because my attorney fought for me. The thought of being a lawyer or opening up a nonprofit to help foster kids helps me during hard times.

I believe in myself because someone else did. I had good self esteem through counseling and someone taking the time to listen.

Don’t give up no matter what.
